Meet the Team
Heather Koch
Mathematical Wizard
Heather is the owner of Sofas & More Ltd. She has been in the furniture industry longer than she likes to admit, managing The Furniture Barn before opening Sofas & More with Danny in 2002. She runs our front of house procedures as well all of our bookwork. She is also a certified interior decorator, and has been in the furniture industry long enough to see most trends come full circle. She and Danny had a dream of owning a business together, and Heather has kept the dream going. With her knowledge of furniture, and her ability to figure almost any math problem out, she is phenomenal at what she does. You can find her out on the floor working with our clients or in the office balancing our books!
Danny Koch
Sofa King Himself
Sofas & More was Danny’s dream. He and Heather wanted to be in business together, and he wanted to own a furniture store. With Heather’s background and connections in the furniture industry it seemed like a no brainer. They wanted a store that specialized in Canadian made furniture with a relaxing, no pressure atmosphere. Danny's vision was to offer a quality product, with the knowledge to sell it properly, and the customer service to back up every sale, and that is what we strive to continue to provide daily. Unfortunately, and very unexpectedly, we lost Danny in March of 2015. He was the backbone of our business, and although our lives will never be the same without him, we honor him by continuing on with his dream.
Jen Attfield
Resident Tech Guru
As the daughter of Heather and Danny, Jen has been with Sofas & More full time since 2008. She is a certified interior decorator, who specializes in home consultations; helping you turn your house into a home. She is our go-to for colour and pattern selection, as well as Heather’s right-hand girl. Jen takes care of customer service, but can also be found out on the floor with our customers. She knows the ins-and-outs of Sofas & More, as well as being the mom to our newest (and youngest) employee, Nova Daniel!
Roxanne Rose
Paper Shuffler
Roxanne is Heather’s sister and is our Jill of all trades. She has been full time at Sofas & More since 2016, and not only does she sell furniture, but she also handles all of our day to day office needs. She keeps all of our samples in order, cleans the store, and, keeps Heather and Jen organized. With a background in pretty much everything, there isn’t much Roxanne can’t do!
Llyle Klein
Jack of All Trades
Llyle is our resident handyman. Not only does he unload all of our trucks, but he also unpacks and inspects all furniture that comes in. On top of that, he also goes along with all of our crafting ideas, shovels in the winter, moves furniture for us constantly, does all of our shipping and receiving duties, and keeps us laughing. As a Journeyman Carpenter, Llyle has a keen eye for detail, the ability to problem solve, and is full of great ideas and innovative solutions!
Tracey Vanbeselaere
Vacationer Extraordinaire
Tracey has been with Sofas & More since 2007. She is semi-retired, but always ready to come back to work whenever we need her. Tracey is also a certified interior decorator, who has a great eye and knowledge of the ever-changing design industry. She is able to put together a room plan on the fly, never afraid to get her hands dirty, and if you’re lucky you will see her stomping down the garbage in her heels!
